Brentford 3 Liverpool 226 Oct 2025-Four league defeats in a row isn’t what I was expecting. As ever, no finger pointing but serious questions need to be asked and answered by not just the team, but the coaching staff as well. I need a couple of drinks before I turn in for the extra hour we get in bed but I don’t think I’ve anything strong enough to get that performance out of my system. Advice to Arne, get a tin hat. ...
Eintracht Frankfurt 1 Liverpool 523 Oct 2025-Maybe everything wasn’t broken before this game so maybe everything isn’t fixed after it. The fans and the team needed a lift and by the end of this game the lift had been provided. Changes were finally made, proof in the pudding etc. We still went one down but then we came alive. VvD & Ibou have been a worry at the back this season, but on this night they were providers and along with Hugo who scored without taking his shirt off we were 3-1 up at halftime. Gakpo and SZOBO finally took us into the comfort lounge. Negatives? Injuries, Frimpong and Isak. ...
Liverpool 1 Manchester United 221 Oct 2025-Another disjointed performance and another defeat. Apart from the once again blind eyed referee Michael Oliver and the visitors first goal their can be no excuses. It hurts to have to say it, but Manchester United deserved their first win at our ground since 2016. There are more things wrong at the moment than right. It’s now time for the manager to show a ruthless streak and sort things out. ...
Chelsea 2 Liverpool 15 Oct 2025-I woke up this morning, and the storm was still raging over Merseyside and beyond. Only this wasn’t about Amy this was about Arne. No matter whose manager of Liverpool three straight defeats in a week isn’t acceptable. No finger pointing but some things are obvious. A two week break to get the head sorted. A two week break to get the head sorted. ...
Red All Over The Land Since 1995 Update2 Oct 2025-If you can't get to the John Barnes & Peter Beardsley night you will still be able to support the event. Raffle tickets will be on sale shortly. On the night we will also be entertained by this young man. https://youtube.com/shorts/MIr2Q6AIxhs?si=RrJioKeYl77SjyDL ...
Galatasaray 1 Liverpool 01 Oct 2025-As I said in the editorial of Issue 316 of Red All Over The Land. In the modern age of football I don’t know if we’ve ever had it so good on the player front. Any result the mass media, the national press, TV or the keyboard warriors feel falls below expectations will be scrutinised in every detail and knives will be sharpened. It's happening isn't it. Yes, we were poor in Istanbul. Nothing's going to change the result. ...
Palace 2 Liverpool 127 Sep 2025-We've been living on the edge. Now we've fell off. No excuses. ...
Liverpool 2 Southampton 124 Sep 2025-The season is just 6 weeks old and our team have again perfected the art of putting us through the wringer. Glad to have won against Southampton and I thought Leoni was our best player until the injury. Very laboured performance & maybe the daftest sending off ever. ...
Liverpool 3 Atletico Madrid 218 Sep 2025-The first few minutes weren’t too bad. The final few minutes weren’t too bad. Anyone know what happened in between? I don’t know and not sure even Arne knows. Two up before some of the crowd had worked out where they were sitting but we still needed something from VvD to rescue the points. Maybe it makes life exciting but some of us are a bit too old, got dodgy tickers to keep going through the grinder. ...
Burnley 0 Liverpool 114 Sep 2025-When the wind is blowing and rain is falling there aren’t too many places less inviting than Burnley. We had 27 shots and thankfully the last one went in. Felt sorry for Alisson Becker who could have watched from the stands rather than have to stand around on the pitch. Arne didn’t seem to be impressed with Milos Kerkez and seemed to hook him well before halftime. Andy Robbo was better. Nobody was outstanding and a few far from it. Michael Oliver sent a Burnley player off with about 10-minutes left and gave us a penalty in final throes of the game. I don’t think any genuine Burnley watcher could argue but some probably will. Mo’s last two penalties have… ...
